Letters from Ministry Friends

From: Sister in Christ

I have just really started to listen to Bob's teachings and the Lord has used it to touch my heart in the area I need to be touched in, namely grace and faith. Just by listening to his messages I can see the joy and love coming out of him abundantly. I will continue to listen to him and continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of God.

From: Brother in Christ

Oh! What a great loss the Body of Christ on Earth has suffered! Pastor Bob will be missed greatly by so many of God's children. From 1980 until the present, I always considered Bob Hoekstra as "my pastor." He was used by the LORD mightily as a mentor, a counselor, and in encouraging me when I was pastoring. His teachings were profound, always seasoned with grace, peace, and love, an though many don't think of Pastor Bob in these terms; he also had the most wonderful sense of humor. What a man of God, and what joy he exuded! I am looking forward to meeting up with him somewhere around the Throne of God.

From: Brother in Christ

We celebrate and rejoice with you the blessed life of Pastor Bob,and also send our heartfelt condolences upon his passing. What an inspiration he always was to us, as he humbly and simply presented Jesus and His gospel to those souls in prison, longing for God's love , mercy and forgiveness. Thank God for his selfless abandonment to the cause of Christ and to all those broken down by life's hurts and the remorse of wrong decisions. How wonderful shall his reward be in Heaven for bringing the eternal freedom of salvation to many.

From: Pastor

Pastor Bob's message of grace has impacted me beyond what I can explain in few words. To me he was a modern day Apostle Paul in terms of his standing for grace. The Lord led me to your ministry 8 years ago and my life has not been the same since. I began to consume his teachings with great spiritual hunger ... so many spiritual truths became clear to me. As a pastor I plan to carry on this message of grace in these last days. Please let me know how I can partner with your ministry in continuing to get this message of grace out. May the Lord bless and comfort Bob's friends and family as we mourn the loss of this great man.

From: Former Bible College Student

Dear Hoekstra Family, I just found out about Pastor Bob's Homegoing & want to express our sadness for your loss, we know Pastor Bob is before our mighty king but still our hearts are heavy. The Lord used Pastor Bob tremendously in my life about 16 years ago while he taught "Growing in Grace" class at CC Vista CA. His words were so prophetic for many of the things I was going thru at that time and the Lord really spoke & did a deep work in my heart thru this faithful servant. Know that our prayers & thoughts are with you all.

From: Sister in Christ

My heart is sad at the news of Pastor Hoekstra's passing. His teaching has blessed me and caused me to grow in my faith. He will be so missed. Thank the Lord for all his teachings that have been captured in his books and dvd's.
My prayers are with his family and all those who loved him.

From: Brother in Christ

I just wanted to write a note of thanks and sympathy. Thanks for the teaching of Pastor Bob, who's course on Grace (on BLBi) I had just finished a couple of weeks ago. And sympathy for for all of his family and friends during this time of grief after his passing. I know his legacy of truth will live on in the hearts of his students, which I am proud to say I was one. I have already shared many of the principles I learned from his 6-session series on Grace and I am sure it will continue to bear much fruit.
